About The Space

Each corner of the cabin was so thoughtfully designed. Some of the things you’ll find in your cabin when you check in: welcome kit with smores, record player, typewriter (that actually works!).

Things To Do in Whitefish

Hidden Lake Overlook in Glacier National Park

Whitefish is within a 30 minute drive to Glacier National Park’s entrance so you’ve got a LOT to see there. Make sure to drive the Going To Sun Road which is one of the most scenic drives in the US. Check out the glaciers, waterfalls, and lakes in the park. Check out my Glacier National Park blog for trip planning.

In the summer, you can do some hiking and paddling nearby lakes. In the winter, some of the activities you can try are snowmobiling, snowshoeing, and skiing.

You can also find a number of great food in Whitefish such as Abruzzo and Rebel Roots.

Activities in Clydesdale Outpost

You don’t need to leave your stay to find things to do! With over 90 acres and a river, there are plenty to keep you busy during your stay. Here are some of the activities you can do depending on the season you visit:

  • Smores & bonfires
  • Horseback riding
  • Carriage and sleigh rides
  • Take a dip in the river
  • Snowshoe & smores

You can find more activities on their website. Winter specific activities here.

The Best Time To Visit

Summer is definitely the most popular time to visit this area but it’s also a short season so you’ll find that prices are much higher during this time. I visited in late September and it was perfect. It was crisp enough to love a soak in the tub and Glacier National Park was still open. Winter can also be a beautiful time to visit with tons of winter activities like a sleigh ride, dog sledding, and snowmobiling.

You can’t go wrong with a trip here though, no matter what time of the year. Experiencing this ranch will definitely be a beautiful memory i’m sure you won’t forget.
