There’s an overwhelming amount of amazing places to eat in Todos Santos. After spending a few weeks eating our way through the area, I’m excited to share the best restaurants in Todos Santos.
What started out as a farm town is now becoming a popular stop for tourists visiting Cabo. Just an hour away from Los Cabos, Todos Santos is starting to attract travelers from all over and some have even dubbed it as the “next Tulum” (I sure hope not).
Mexico’s secretary of tourism has declared Todos Santos a Pueblo Magico which preserves its rich history, culture, and protects it from overdevelopment. The center of town has a vibrant, artsy feel and surrounding it are pristine beaches great for surfing and a desert valley where a lot of the local farm to table restaurants source their food.
Casual Eats in Todos Santos
Fish Taco Santo Chilote
One of Baja’s pride and joy is the fish taco but the dish that really stood out to us here was the Coconut Battered Shrimp. They made sauces specifically for this taco such as the mango sauce and pineapple habanero salsa. We also really loved their fish & pulpo tacos. Each taco is about $55 pesos ($3USD).
El Burguer Shack
After spending a month in Mexico, it’s really nice to change things up with a juicy smashburger from El Burguer. This was one of the best smash burgers we’ve had, not just in Mexico but EVER. I highly recommend checking them out. We’ve eaten here with vegetarian friends as well and they loved their vegetarian burger.
Barracuda
We had to check this one out since it was featured on Netflix’s Taco Chronicles and it also had tons of great reviews. Their beer battered fish tacos were amazing and if you like raw seafood, you absolutely have to try the Tuna Tostada. $55-$200 pesos per dish. ($3-$10 USD)
The Best Restaurants in Todos Santos
Jazamango
You cannot miss a lunch or dinner in Jazamango. It’s a farm to table restaurant and I highly recommend strolling around their farm while you’re there. It’s on the pricier side but totally worth it! Dishes were around $24-$35 USD. Their dishes change frequently but some of the dishes we loved are the passionfruit aguachile and suckling pig. Check out their menu.
The Green Room
The Green Room is undoubtedly one of the best restaurants in Todos Santos. It’s a little bit out the way (about 30 minutes from town) and was on a mile of dirt road but it’s a must, specially during sunset. The tables are on the beach so you can actually enjoy your dinner and drinks with your toes in the sand. We also saw a whale breach during sunset. $10 USD per dish on average.
Paradero
Located in the luxuruous Paradero Hotel but you don’t have to be a guest to dine here. Expect to spend about $20-$60 usd on dishes but it is delicious. The soft shell crab taco was great and the bartenders really know how to make craft cocktails. The aesthetic in Paradero is the best we’ve seen and definitely worth the visit alone.
Coffee Shops In Todos Santos
Doce Cuarenta
Tucked in an unassuming neighborhood is this hipster coffee shop/ wine bar. Had a really cool digital nomad crowd during the week and we loved how big the space was. If you are working remotely this would be an ideal place to spend the day.
Cerritos Beach Dogs
Cerritos Beach Dogs is a new addition to this surf town. It’s a coffee shop/dog rescue built in just 30 days by the community. Come by and sip coffee (profits go directly to dogs), volunteer, foster, or adopt. Getting dogs off the streets in Mexico might seem like an uphill battle but it’s very nice to see the locals and tourists coming together supporting this cause.
